Have you ever wanted to learn how to humanely and efficiently break down a whole animal? Our hands-on workshops provide practical instruction in processing livestock from whole carcass to freezer-ready cuts.
Whether you're a homesteader, hunter, aspiring chef, or simply want to better understand where your food comes from, you'll leave with valuable skills and confidence.
No prior experience is necessary.
The instructional fee is $100 per participant, payable in advance to reserve your spot.
This fee covers the educational instruction only.
Participants may choose to purchase the animal used during the workshop.
If you decide to take the meat home, the animal is sold based on the hanging (carcass) weight at the current market rate. The workshop fee does not apply toward the purchase price of the animal.
Purchasing the carcass is completely optional—you are welcome to attend the class for the educational experience alone.
Workshops involve sharp tools, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Participants should wear closed-toe footwear and clothing suitable for working in a processing environment.
Class sizes are limited to ensure every participant receives individual instruction.
